What We Do
Education - Scholarship - Leadership Development

The National Black MBA Foundation® is an independent 501(C)3 established in 2006 to raise and invest money in order to create a lasting endowment for the education, scholarship and leadership development programs of the National Black MBA Association® and similar initiatives.

These programs have launched careers, contributed to success in business, helped build pillars in communities and transformed countless lives.

Education
At the center of our movement is the ongoing effort to increase the number of Blacks entering business school and securing the MBA degree.

The NBMBAA Leaders of Tomorrow® program provides mentoring, real world emersion, leadership training and scholarship opportunities to high school students in the United States, United Kingdom and The Republic of South Africa who may otherwise lack access. The Foundation supports the long term growth of NBMBAA programs like Leaders of Tomorrow®.     In 2006, NBMBAA embarked on a campaign to establish Collegiate Chapters on public and private campuses across the United States to encourage the matriculation of more African Americans from undergraduate into business school and to raise awareness of the value of business education among students pursuing other majors. The Foundation supports this visionary strategy.
At the center of our movement is the ongoing effort to increase the number of Blacks entering business school and securing the MBA degree. The Foundation provides support to the Association’s efforts to do so through public and private partnerships, alliance partnerships, mentoring and direct financial aid to qualified students. In addition, we support post-graduate study leading to the Ph.D. to help ensure that our presence within the academy becomes institutional.

Scholarship
In a typical year, the Association and its partners award roughly $500,000 in direct scholarship aid to students at the undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate levels. This support is vital in face of the rising tuitions and expenses. The Foundation provides a way for us to invest today in order to meet this growing need in the future.

Leadership Development
The NBMBAA delivers quality education and leadership training opportunities for the next generation of professionals and entrepreneurs. The Association also is working to create more consistent and available opportunities for education and leadership training for a new generation of professionals and entrepreneurs who face a more fluid and competitive business environment than seen in the past. The Foundation aims to a consistent underpinning for these programs as they grow in size and value.
